Known \u003c\/span\u003eas “The Elite,” it evolved through the years and was passed down through Ballas’ family. In the 1930s the family held a contest to come up with the name Crystal Grill, which the restaurant kept ever since. In the 1930s, the restaurant also went by Crystal Cafe before changing to Crystal Grill. What started as a one-room café quickly grew to six rooms with nearly 250 seats. \u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe restaurant \u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003eserved Greek, Italian and American food and was famous for its “mile-high” meringue pie.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThese 4.25\"x 5.5\" notecards can be purchased as a set of ten notecards with envelopes or included in the Mississippi Memories Collection of cards.
